About Our FacultyThere is nothing more rewarding for teachers than to experience the fruit of their labor through the success of their students. At ABC University we are reaping a harvest of blessings through former graduates of ABC Liberia. Three of the faculty of ABCU and four of the seven advisory board members of ABCU are ABC graduates! These are men who love the institution, understand the culture and philosophy of it and believe in it with all their hearts because their lives have been changed by it. From left to right: Eleazar, Nathan and Peter During the war in Liberia Nathan Mulbah and family lived as refugees for 16 years in Ivory Coast and Ghana. His passion for training Christian leaders never subsided even while in exile -- starting churches wherever he went. When he returned to Liberia early last year he formed a pastoral fellowship and mentored many church leaders in their faith. Nathan teaches theology courses at ABCU and is also Dean of Students. His years of experience with the hardships of refugee life has produced great wisdom that he shares with students when counseling them.
A visionary and gifted leader, Eleazar Gbengan is the Programs Director of ABCU. He organizes and plans our daily chapel services, invites special speakers for Campus Forums, oversees the outreach ministry in the community as well as teaches Ethics and Philosophy classes. Because he was a refugee in Ivory Coast and Nigeria, Eleazar has learned how to network in order to increase his mentoring influence. He uses his connections to informally mentor those in influential places of government making a Kingdom impact in the process. His dream is to one day establish a School of Global Leadership on the ABCU campus. Missionaries of the 21st century come from all parts of the globe. As a missionary from the U.S, Peter Siaway, a Liberian and also an ABC graduate, has recently joined our faculty. After Peter completed his M.Div. at Reformed Theological Seminary he was unable to return to Liberia due to the war. He joined a mission organization in Atlanta that ministered to small churches in the southern part of the U.S. Several years later, when he heard about the need for professors at his alma mater in Liberia he jumped at the opportunity. Along with teaching courses in Evangelism he oversees the Admissions Office. He will be traveling across the country in the next few months to several different counties in Liberia administering the entrance exam to prospective students. |
